After experiencing the current restrictions over and over I think we can’t help but struggle with the situation, no matter what our circumstances are.
The other day I was chatting with a friend and both sharing that, even though we live in the country on acres and feel blessed to not be stuck within four walls like many others, it still has been a journey coming to terms with it.
One thing that was shown to me was that it really is time for us as humans to connect with any feelings we are experiencing without judgement. When we are in allowance with how we are feeling, we are honouring the experience, as well as our take on it – without suppression or justifying our thoughts.
We are being given a chance to do some deeper healing on a personal level. Ask yourself how you are feeling is a great place to start. Once you have done a check in, and aren’t connecting to the collective energy (just ask your spiritual team if you are unsure and notice the signs they show you), you will know what are your own thoughts and feelings.
What if just surrendering to what you can’t control, being aware of what you can and focusing on that! For example, I can’t control when we will come out of lockdown, but I can do things that help me through this time – even if they are just small things. Such as read a book, do an online course on something that is of interest, learn a new recipe or even get creative. I have found I like to hand write a list that helps me to feel accountable and satisfied – even if I only tick off a few items that’s ok too.
One light bulb moment I found after reading a wonderful audiobook of Micheal A Singers called The Surrender Experimentwas the power of connecting to the most powerful tool we have which is: working on our mind and thoughts and aiming for the connection to peace and quiet there! Sounds like a big ask but in his book, he really takes you on this journey and I know for me it was a game changer!
What if our current situation is here to really show us that working on ourselves, and our own commitment to inner peace is the ultimate. We are aware that we only take our soul with us when we leave this world, so what if the key to this human experience is inner peace, being happy, and doing the inner work that helps us open to learn and grow?
Like Michael explains in his book, what if when you surrender to the process of life by letting the universe give you the opportunities, and they turn out amazing! And many of them are a result of us saying yes to things we might normally rule out, or believe we wouldn’t enjoy.
Upon reading this book it’s changed my whole perspective and really given me food for thought. Check it out if you feel inclined or find a book to get your own inspiration from, but either way if you have read this far there may be a big message here for YOU!
