Don’t mistake my kindness for weakness by Anne Aleckson

There is a widely known quote from the American Gangster Al Capone that says ‘don’t mistake my kindness for weakness. I am kind to everyone but when someone is unkind to me, weak is not what you are going to remember about me’.

That is all well and good for the era in which Mr Capone became famous for all the wrong reasons and where revenge in the face of disrespect was common, those days when a man had to defend his honour and protect his ego by doing unto others what had been done to him and worse.

Those times have long passed however and a new age is upon us. It’s time to let go of old notions of what is strong and what is weak, it’s time to embrace the positive side of life, to live the Pollyanna life, if you will.

In this day and age where humanity is opening its heart chakra and more of us than ever before are tapping into our empathic super-powers, it’s time to step into the grace and strength that is found in kindness to self and to others.

‘Only a fool mistakes kindness for weakness. There is the heart of a lion within the spirit of a lamb. Grace is selfless strength.’ Unknown

A rising in the acceptance of positive aspects or characteristics is called for as we evolve in order to create a new world of peace and care for all sentient beings.

Some of these positive aspects always present in humanity but coming more to the fore as we evolve are characteristics such as being in service, loving unconditionally, acceptance and forgiveness.

Imagine a world filled with people who express these characteristics and show kindness to all people … ensuring that everyone is fed, clothed, educated and has their health taken care of. Imagine a world of peace and prosperity.

Now more than ever is the time to embrace these positive aspects and let them shine out in the world. They are the future of business and life success and for the continuation of this planet.

I remember the very first time that I became aware of the pool of empathy that I was dipping into through my spiritual practices, I had moments of such connection and oneness that it would have been impossible for me to even reach out and pinch another person on the leg, for the pain would simply hurt me as much as they.

Open up your channels to full empathy and kindness by tapping into the intelligence of your heart through focus and intention and become someone who leads the change into the next evolution.
