Self-esteem is the value you place on your worthiness.
How well you know your capabilities and potential will establish your value, so the more you know of yourself the higher your estimated value…. if…. you approach the good, bad and the ugly with compassion; it’s all family, the family of self.
We’re never always one way. We fluctuate like the tides, always in motion. Two opposing equal forces moving against each other invested in harmonic balance for life to flourish.
Being aware of where one is in that universal principle can stimulate the impulse to adjust one’s direction.
Focus on staying positive through all situations is a sure-fire way to take us down, slam us up against the wall.
Staying positive requires a huge amount of effort and energy as one struggles against the natural equal and opposing response to positivity.
If we keep pushing negativity away, we never get to know its energetic value, so our estimation of self is reduced to a one-sided perspective of our human abilities and potential.
The body is the vehicle of our spirit. Every thought we have is expressed in the body. Negative thoughts not acknowledged as members of the family of self is deposited in the body, restricting range of motion, sensation, and communication.
Shifting one’s focus to accommodate the body as a living creation of our being we become self-responsible and able to self-adjust within change. Maybe it seems too simplistic. In my own experience, it is, and it works.
Self-esteem is built upon compassion and love.
