Who Are You Beyond Your Roles? By Alexis Hannagan

Sitting at a beautiful cafe in Sydney’s Royal National Park, hosting a VIP Retreat, I hear (yet again) the story of a beautiful, compassionate, successful woman not knowing what she wants in life or who she is.

I look over at the fit, slim, blonde woman (late 40’s), CEO of an aged care company, mother of two gorgeous young adults tell me I’ve been there as the solid rock, the provider for my kids, husband, and friends.

I’ve worked my way into CEO.

I’ve had kids, got married, and given A LOT!

“But who am I? Whose life am I living? What do I even want now my husband and I have split up?” She lamented.

I can’t stop busying myself, it’s hard to slow down, I’m scared of what’s inside and don’t feel feminine or attractive at all. I’ve been living such a robotic life.

We then enjoyed a few Kundalini Yoga & Meditation Workshops including breathwork, movement, mantra, prayer, circulating our sexual creative energy, pumping fresh juicy feminine activations into every nook and cranny.

With childlike excitement the next day she randomly declares, ” I channelled many children’s stories last night from when I had young kids, I can’t stop writing, perhaps I’ll eventually publish a children’s book.”

I told her, “we can’t just figure life out, our problems and thoughts will always be there in the mind, we must circulate our sexual Kundalini energy daily so we begin to live from our heart and not our head.”

This energy is called ‘shakti’, the wild primal feminine force, our creative potential. It brings immense radiance; you know that natural ‘glowy’ look and activates our intuition. You begin to know yourself on a deep level, a connected woman naturally knows the right decision within 7 seconds.

You are now led from your soul and heart, not the ego mind.

As I type this, she is currently sitting in our massage room writing away.

As women (creators) we lead the vision in our romantic relationship. Because we give birth to man, we are the nucleus in the relationship. If the vision isn’t there, the relationship will end.

“If you do not accept your own dignity as a woman, all external trappings shall mean nothing. It has nothing at all to do with any man or with any relationship. Once you accept your own dignity, the whole world will come to you.” Yogi Bhajan

My guest, like so many women I’ve mentored, has achieved a lot on the outside, but felt like an empty eggshell on the inside.

They don’t know how to self-source energy internally, from their own heart, so they look to get it from the outside to feel good enough.

“If a woman sits with folded hands in her lap for a few minutes every day, and feels she is a container so vast that she contains the whole Universe, she will never feel weak or have any problems. There is nothing beyond woman except God.”  Yogi Bhajan

After another Kundalini Yoga session, we sat on a big tree. She asked the tree for guidance, a few minutes go by, the message is received from her higher self, “this is your journey not his”.

A complete perspective shift entails, she realises her focus has been on everyone else and not herself.

Today as I said goodbye to my guest, with radiance and grace flooding out from her, sexual Kundalini energy flowing, she declares: “I am not a victim, I now put myself first” – “‘I’m excited to practice daily and learn to love myself.”
