Follow your soul and elegantly rebel With Peta-Ann Wood

Being diagnosed with breast cancer at 45 wasn’t the most fun and it certainly did not scream ‘adventure’.

However. Because of a breast cancer diagnosis, my most elegantly rebellious adventure did commence. I chose to ditch normal, follow my inner-knowing – or as I say soul nudges – and stay flat post bilateral mastectomy! I chose to unmask my magic through embracing acceptance, demystifying different and simply being me. No boobs required!

And as you can imagine, despite spending a lifetime of not fitting in – you know, when you are always ‘too’ something – following my soul nudges post mastectomy, freeing myself from the opinions of others, and allowing myself to unmask and elegantly rebel, especially after also being verified as neurosparkly at 53, was not easy.

There were, and still are, wobbles along the way. Wobbles which I navigate by following my inner knowing and through the various tools I use to uncover my soul nudges and discover ‘what next’, so I can take aligned action. Some of my favourite ways, and the ones I predominantly use in my oracle card experiences and mentoring programs, include:  

• Understanding the seven main Clairs and which are your strongest.
• Coaching with Oracle Cards – I am a self-confessed card-o-holic.
• Soul Writing daily.
• Using colour to navigate feelings and emotions.
• Reiki daily.
• Seeking intrinsic beauty and joyful ‘glimmers’ everywhere.

As well as these tools, I also use my Unmask Your Magic – Discover, Uncover, Trust, Flourish, Freedom process to embody my soul purpose. This process turns nudges into aligned actions, so we can step forward from our heart and soul, not fear. This leads to true empowerment and unmasking our magic. It’s about truly celebrating you. Honouring you. Loving you. Respecting you. This is how we ditch normal and flourish as an Elegant Rebel®.

When you incorporate these tools and process into your world, you realise you are worth the time and intention. You realise it’s how to stay in flow and navigate fallen branches along the way. It’s how you keep believing to freely accept yourself and others; following your heart and soul with discernment; and following your dreams, to live life joyfully, your way, without the need for external validation.

As the Cheshire Cat declares, ‘Every adventure requires a first step.’ When you take yours, always remember you are a unique blend of experiences, talents, and dreams. Follow your nudges; embrace your quirks, learn from setbacks, unmask your magic, step into your youness and repeat after me, I am an Elegant Rebel®!
