Just one more card to share – a favourite of mine. When writing this story, I visualised a sweet, cheerful elderly woman wearing a bright beanie, the colour of her front door.
Card 42 The Herb Witch – Kindness
No one had the energy to smile – except for the Herb Witch, Nella, who lived on the outskirts of the village. Nella decided to cheer everyone up as she knew they were tired and disheartened. She baked some apple cakes adding cinnamon and honey to sweeten them. She had made white paper some time ago and rummaged in her little side cabinet for some coloured paints. She painted the flowers she loved onto the paper – zinnias, daisies, tiny orchids, curly green leaves. Nella wrapped the apple cakes in the paper with twine.
Gathering a cloak, she left her cottage and walked into the little village, singing softly. She knocked at people’s doors and left an apple cake wrapped in her lovely painted paper. Eventually, all the villagers came out onto the cobbled streets in wonder. They noticed her kind offering, her happiness and joy. Her gesture lifted their spirits, and they thanked Nella for her kindness. The day would be a good day after all.
Divination
Kindness is such a simple thing. It makes people feel at ease, makes them feel cared for, and makes the giver of kindness feel good too. Be kind to yourself and everything in your life will be easy. Your heart will open and glow with warmth. It’s such an infectious feeling. Be kind to others and the world around you will light up with joy, abundance, and more kindness. There will be more hearts opening, more glowing warmth.
