Jo ShipleySeptember 2025 is shaping up to be a really powerful month for rebalance, renewal, and reset. With Saturn back into Pisces and a dramatic eclipse season – including a Blood Moon and a Partial Solar Eclipse – there’s a lot of cosmic energy floating around!
With all this contrary ‘structure and flow’ energy swirling, it can feel tricky to find your feet. So, this month, I thought we’d explore some of the best crystals for emotional balance and grounding that can help you feel more in control, focused, and aligned with the September 2025 astrology forecast.
Saturn and the Lunar/Solar Eclipse
Saturn’s shift from Aries back into Pisces is a gentle but powerful change. When Saturn nudged into Aries back in May, it may have felt like life was moving at full speed, with everything feeling urgent and important. Now, with Saturn back in Pisces, the pace softens.
I’ve really felt this with my house move – it was all rush, rush, rush to get the furniture in place and the move completed. Now, I finally have a little breathing space to think about room designs, colour schemes, and the flow of the house. Though I’ll admit, with spring in the air, I’ve been spending more time in the garden than painting walls (who else gets redesigns their garden first before sorting out the house?).
The total lunar eclipse on September 7, 2025, takes place in Pisces, and shines a bright light on what we’ve been holding onto emotionally. The Partial Solar Eclipse in Virgo on September 21, 2025, brings a grounding counterbalance. Together, Saturn in Pisces and the eclipses create a cosmic dance of reflection and action – so let’s have a look at some crystals that can help us honour both our inner wisdom and take the practical steps we need to actually get things done.
Supportive Crystals for September
Here are some of my favourite crystals to help ground ourselves this month:
- Black Tourmaline – perfect for grounding and protection when your emotions feel intense.
- Amethyst – Pisces’ stone, and my personal favourite power crystals; calms and clarifies, soothes the heart, and opens intuition. Perfect for amplifying your Blood Moon rituals.
- Moonstone – use for emotional balance and connecting with your intuition, and perfect for the lunar eclipse rituals.
- Fluorite – brings clarity and focus when your life feels chaotic.
- Smoky Quartz – soothes and gently helps release fear and old patterns.
Full Moon Lunar Eclipse Ritual
A powerful ritual I love for the lunar eclipse is to create a beautiful sacred space under the moon’s light, hold a piece of Amethyst or Moonstone while meditating to get clear on what I want to release, then use Fluorite or Selenite to gently cleanse the space before focusing and ‘power-dumping’ all my intentions into Black Tourmaline to ground the energy!
As I write I’m now distracted with thoughts about where my ‘sacred moon circle’ should be in my new garden! It’s a lovely practise to be able to find an energetically aligned space in your home, garden, local park or wilderness to spend a dedicated hour or two in ritual to help you align with the September 2025 cosmic flow. I have a beautiful friend who is deeply connected to the Fae – she embraces the full moon energy by weaving branches into portal gates between two trees, she jumps through and invites the Fae magik into her space. They always join her!
