The result is a woman who is endlessly capable, endlessly available – and privately, profoundly depleted. She cancels her own needs before anyone asks. She over-delivers until resentment quietly replaces joy. She calls this love.
It is not love. It is self-abandonment dressed in the language of care and goodness.
From Effect To Cause
Every empath’s transformation begins with one radical shift. From living at the effect of life, to living at the cause of it.
Living at effect means life happens TO us. Other people’s moods become our responsibility. Their approval becomes our compass.
Living at cause means life happens FOR us. Our sensitivity becomes data, not destiny. Our truth becomes the compass, not the thing we hide to keep everyone else comfortable.
In twelve years of guiding empaths through this transformation, I have witnessed the same six emotional blocks appearing every time – anger, sadness, fear, hurt, guilt and shame. Not arriving cleanly or obviously, but disguised. Anger as chronic irritation. Sadness as grey, unnamed heaviness. Fear as perfectionism. Guilt as chronic apology. Shame as invisibility.
