Healing – St Anne by Sharne Young

The last few weeks, I have felt like this vulnerable elderly lady with her aches and pains. Perhaps this card is just for me but if you too are in need of some healing, then read on…

An elderly lady sat down on a church pew. It was cool and peaceful inside the church of St Anne. The lady’s body was sore and inflamed, but she didn’t like to ask for help. She preferred to do things for herself even when it was a struggle. The elderly lady felt a bit irreverent taking off her shoes and stockings, but the cold stone floor felt soothing against the soles of her hot, swollen feet. She looked up at the stained-glass window above her. Delicate light shone through the depiction of St Anne, the wise and gentle face looking down upon her. ‘Oh, blessed grandmother,’ she thought. Her heart aching. ‘Please help me feel better.’ She sighed, feeling like St Anne was nodding in gentle understanding.

She felt a comforting warmth in her chest. After some time passed in healing contemplation, the elderly lady got up from the church pew, and, barefoot, she walked outside into the sunlight, her body feeling light as a feather.

Divination

St Anne is the patron saint of women in all her forms. She has a grandmotherly, nurturing energy similar to Mother Mary. She is wise and very gentle.
