The March Equinox is one of those rare moments when the whole planet pauses together. Day and night meet in perfect balance – light and shadow holding each other gently. It is a reminder that balance isn’t something we chase; it is something we return to, again and again, as naturally as the Earth turns.

Even though the equinox is shared worldwide, our experience of it depends on where we stand. For clarity: the Southern Hemisphere includes places like Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and South America, while the Northern Hemisphere includes regions such as Europe, Asia, Canada and the United States.

Here in the Southern Hemisphere, we’re stepping into autumn – a season of grounding, reflection, and gentle release. In the Northern Hemisphere, the same moment opens the doorway to spring – renewal, growth, and awakening. Different seasons, different rhythms, yet both equally sacred. Both invite us back into alignment with the Earth and with ourselves.

Southern Hemisphere: The Descent into Autumn 

As the heat of summer softens, our bodies instinctively slow. Autumn calls us inward – to simplify, to reconnect, to let go of what feels heavy. It’s a season of recalibration, where clarity rises as we create space within.

This ritual can be done anywhere in the world – simply choose the crystals that match your season.

Light a candle to honour the balance of light and shadow. Open a window and welcome the shift.

2. Ground Your Energy

Place a grounding stone (Smoky Quartz, Black Tourmaline, or Hematite) at your feet. Breathe until your body feels anchored.
