Why the body can rest before the mind does
By Thomas Staudacher, Founder, ENTLE
Most of us know the feeling. You finally lie down, but your body is still braced, and your mind is still running. Rest is right there, and somehow you can’t reach it. The body is still holding the day’s load. The nervous system hasn’t yet registered that it is safe to let go. The mind keeps trying to manage what the body has not finished.
ENTLE was made for that moment. It belongs to a practice you may have heard of: floating. Floating began about 70 years ago. In 1954, the American scientist John Lilly found that when you remove outside input, the mind doesn’t shut down; it stays active. Later, dry floating took the weight off the body without anyone getting wet. ENTLE takes the next step. Acoustic dry floating is a new approach I developed, and it is internationally patented. It adds sound, felt as a gentle vibration, to help the body find the calm it is looking for.
You lie down, fully clothed. No water touches your skin. No tank, and no need to meditate or try to relax. Sound reaches you as a vibration you feel, not hear. For an hour, you simply lie there and let go. The device is new, but its roots go back thousands of years.

A session on the ENTLE acoustic dry floating device. Fully clothed, no water, no tank.
ENTLE draws on more than modern science. Between them, Ayurveda, Chinese medicine and Greek philosophy wrote about water, sound and ether, the finest of the elements. Today, quantum biology is exploring that same fine level of life. The names AETHERIX and ENTLE carry that history.
That history shapes how ENTLE works. Most devices that use sound or frequency ask what they can do to the body. ENTLE works through resonance: the way one vibration joins and strengthens another that is already there. So we start with the rhythms and vibrations the body is already making.
You may not notice them, but they are there all the time. Your heart keeps a rhythm, and that rhythm influences your brain. Your bones make a tiny electrical charge when they carry weight. Cells throughout your body can sense pressure and vibration — a discovery recognised with the 2021 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine. Some scientists now think living tissue may hold an even finer kind of order, though that research is still young. Either way, the body is not silent. It is already humming before anything touches it.

So the ENTLE acoustic dry floating device works with the body at the level of vibration. Rather than forcing change, it meets what is already there. Like a tuning fork beside a string that is already singing, it invites the body to share the note. After thirty years of working with clients, I believe the change begins at the finest levels, in the body’s energy fields, and goes deeper than we can yet measure, to the quantum level that science is only beginning to explore. When that meeting happens, the body often starts to let go on its own.
The jaw lets go before the mind does. That’s usually the order in which it happens.
That is what people tend to notice first: the jaw unclenching, the shoulders dropping. Underneath, the nervous system is always deciding whether to stay on guard or stand down. The device simply gives it a reason to stand down.
What can we actually measure? Calmer breathing, changes in heart-rate variability (a common sign of how relaxed the nervous system is), and the simple fact that people say they feel quieter afterwards. You may also hear the word “biofield” used for the energy around a living body. Parts of that idea can be measured, like the heart’s electrical activity on an ECG.

One client’s readings before and after a session on the ENTLE acoustic dry floating device
Their Psycho-emotional State Index rose from 21 to 61, slow delta waves dropped, and the pattern became more balanced. Individual results vary. Nilas MV measurements are available in our ENTLE clinics.
After an hour, people usually describe it simply. They felt held. Their jaw, shoulders and belly had less to do. They felt the sound rather than listened to it. Their mind didn’t have to go first. It followed.
In the end, the effect is never only in the device. It is in the person lying on it — the self that was already there, waiting to be met rather than overwritten.
If you cannot switch off, begin with an hour on the ENTLE acoustic dry floating device.
