Illness, accidents, losses, and unsought challenges are not fun. AND, what an opportunity to learn some powerful things about ourselves, life, choices, potentials, possibilities.
You are probably already doing some of the suggestions below. This is to share some useful tools and to encourage you to keep exploring–going beyond–your known, your expected. Trust me, I’ve used all the below–and more. Hence, I share from great appreciation for the gifts that “playing” with situations offers.
1.Write/scribble—3 x A4 pages of SOC (Stream Of Conscious) writing. Let the words
flow forth without consideration. No thoughts. No good/bad. You may surprise yourself.
2. Ask and jot down for yourself:
The recognitions that arrive from asking these questions
What is the gift in this situation?
What am I learning?
What inspires me?
What am I being nudged to leave behind?
What do I want to broadcast into the field?
What are some of the emotions I’ll feel, actions I’ll take, when I’ve transcended this
situation?
What helps me get by–better than chocolate/booze?
