Find Your Own Experience of Truth by Sylvia Burns

There are many versions of truth available to us today.  How often do we find ourselves reaching for Google, searching social media and asking AI when we need an answer, information or guidance? We are just so used to looking ‘out there’, searching through versions of someone else’s truth.

It’s an old habit.

There is a parable that tells of a time before creation when God wanted to grant mankind great wisdom, divinity and truth, yet was concerned that if humans found it too easily, they would misuse and not value it. After much searching, it was decided “to hide the truth deep within the centre of their own being. Mankind will never look for it there.”

So, what is truth? How do we go about unearthing this treasure? And why does it matter?

Harold Klemp gives us clues in his book Our Spiritual Wake-Up Calls.

Love is just a very quiet, personal little thing. It brings fulfilment, but more importantly, it brings spiritual freedom. Because love is truth.

These words provide some understanding, yet the master key is to actually experience this love and the spiritual freedom it promises

Many years ago, when I was a relatively new student of Eckankar, I was going through a painful period of questioning my worthiness. I was driving home with an aching heart after attending a seminar, and as I crossed a cattle grid on the property, two huge wedge-tailed eagles rose from the dam to my right and flew across the bonnet of my car. I gasped with wonder. Once home, I went into contemplation to unravel the wisdom in these experiences.

I recorded these words…

“Tears blur my vision as I unwrap the layers of pain from this experience you have given me. Until suddenly, in the light of insight, the gift hidden at the heart of each moment is revealed, and it is Love. ”

As Soul, each of us is truly unique and will experience the truth of divine love in a way that is right for us.  This divine language flows around us constantly.

Opening our hearts to it is what the path of ECK is all about.

In the Raise Your Spiritual IQ Experience Journal, Harold Klemp writes,

As Soul, you have the God knowledge within you. My main job is to awaken the knowledge and love for the divine things already within you.

In my quest to awaken this divine truth, I have learned the value of a regular spiritual practice. This can be as simple as singing HU every day. This ancient mantra can lift your vibrations and begin to align you with the God Current, the Light and Sound, which is God’s love in expression.
