Dr Irina WebsterPeople often ask me, “why did you leave your secure career as a conventional medical doctor to become an intuitive healer? Why trade stability for something so unconventional and unpredictable?”
The truth is, that my career change came from a profound transformation within myself. It was sparked by a personal health crisis that led to my healing—and ultimately, my awakening.
While I was working as a medical doctor at the Canberra Hospital, I developed severe uterine bleeding. My specialist diagnosed me with fibroids and recommended surgery to remove everything. He said, “Irina, you will bleed to death unless you have everything removed.” His words terrified me.
But in that moment of fear, something remarkable happened. I heard a voice….A calm, quiet voice from deep within me said, “Don’t go, you’ll be fine…” It wasn’t loud or alarming. Instead, it was calm and reassuring – like a whisper from my body.
I didn’t argue with my gynecologist. I took the referral and prescription he gave me and went home. But all I could think was, “I need to experience an energy-healing state.”
I went to a quiet room where I could be alone. I began to meditate, focusing on my body. As I meditated, I felt tingling sensations in every cell of my body—what I now understand to be the flow of subtle energy.
I directed my internal focus to my uterus and clearly saw the tumors that were causing the bleeding. Then, I envisioned a green light entering through the top of my head and flowing into my uterus. This light began to cleanse it from the inside, expelling the tumors as if through a laser treatment. I could feel the entire process happening within me.
The experience was deeply calming and filled with love. By the next morning, the bleeding had reduced by 70%. I continued the same healing practice, and by the third day, it was completely gone.
The problem never returned. By connecting with my subtle body energy, I was able to heal myself and restore my health.
This experience transformed my consciousness. I became deeply curious: who or what had healed me? I realised it was the intuitive power within me.
Driven to understand this further, I took a year off to focus on healing and study. I traveled to the United States to learn from renowned teachers such as Caroline Myss, Deepak Chopra, and Dr. Judith Orloff. Their workshops and courses profoundly deepened my understanding of medical intuition and energy healing.
By the end of that year, I knew I could no longer continue practicing as a conventional doctor. Prescribing treatments I wouldn’t use myself created a profound internal conflict. I made the decision to start teaching others how to heal.
Through my work, I’ve come to believe:
“Energy is the root of body and mind. When energy flows through the body properly, you are in a state of health. When there is an energetic disturbance in the body, a disease state is created. Illnesses manifest in the body’s energy field before they manifest in the physical body, and healing occurs in the energy field before it becomes apparent in the physical body. The root causes of these energetic disturbances are often negative thoughts, limiting beliefs, and destructive emotions stored within the body.”
This belief shapes everything I do and serves as the foundation of what I teach through my work.
