Mercury goes direct on the 2nd of October, in Virgo, giving us a feeling that the changes we made to our work and health during the retrograde can support us going forward. Jupiter and Venus are in a tango on the 3rd highlighting the need to balance independence with relationship commitments. When Mercury re-enters Libra on the 11/12th we will have more clarity and harmony around relationships, especially with Venus in Libra throughout the month helping us to see the beauty in others.
The relationship energy of October peaks at the Full Moon in Aries on the 9th/10th when we can see what we truly need in relationships and assess someone’s capacity to reciprocate to us. When we understand that people show love in different ways, we can find peace in accepting that they may never be able to give to us the way we need, but that doesn’t mean they don’t love us. There is a very healing energy with this Full Moon where we can go deeper into our wounds around self-love to know whether we are seeking relationships as a complementary force or a way to fill a bottomless void.
On the same day as the Full Moon, Pluto goes direct after its usual six months in retrograde. Saturn follows suit on the 23rd/24th bringing relief to our mental processes. If we spent time reflecting, processing and healing during the retrogrades, we can expect obsessive and harsh thinking to ease, to feel more optimistic about the next phase in our lives and take real, committed action toward a long-term goal that will give us a huge sense of accomplishment.
In a similar vein, Mars going retrograde in Gemini on the 25th teaches us the value of doing things differently. From now until early January, we are going to receive Divine downloads which come in the form of ideas on how we can do life better, in a way that enhances our independence. We will also be gathering confidence at this time to connect with our higher mind so we know exactly which ideas are best to act on when Mars goes direct in mid-January.
On the same day as Mars retrograde, we have a New Moon solar eclipse in Scorpio. Eclipses are intense energy portals that bring situations to a head and can result in serendipitous timing. As this is a south node eclipse, we have an opportunity to leave behind fear, emotional pain and obsessive mental patterns, especially around relationships, so we can move into a greater feeling of peace within ourselves. This energy will peak at the Full Moon lunar eclipse in November, so any preparation we can do now in terms of healing, releasing and purging, will serve us well for this upcoming eclipse season.
On the 28th Jupiter, still in retrograde, moves back into Pisces for the final time for 12 years, harkening us back to a period in March and April where we had to let go of something, or someone, that held great potential for our lives. We can see that we are stronger for this lesson from Jupiter and understand why things needed to happen the way they did. If we can celebrate the lesson of trust in Divine timing and surrender from this period we will be well positioned for the kick-ass potential of Jupiter when he moves forward again in late November.
