A moment of truth – I am a card-a-holic. Not out of dependency or fortune-telling gimmickry—I simply love pulling cards to physically see my soul’s voice and watch the story unfold.
For over 40 years, I’ve had a love affair with cards. My first deck wasn’t published, branded, or glossy. It was born in the late 1980s at my desk, where I cut out magazine pictures and glued them onto cardboard. Craft corner style. No rules, just intuition. That deck became my way to hear my soul, when the world got too loud.
By the early 1990s, I began reading for others. I was taught early on to never follow the crowd—to trust my own rhythm, my own way. My readings have always been a little different. Less forecast, more soulful encouragement. My style invites my clients’ own intuition to rise and speak. I softly encourage clients to find their answers within, with our collective spirit guides always nearby, ready to assist when called. But the heart of it isn’t just reading—it’s soul coaching®. That’s why I became a qualified Soul Coaching® Oracle Reader. My sessions are sacred collaborations, where the cards become mirrors and my role is to hold space for your truth to shine.
Fast forward to November 2024, and my first professional deck was published—an elegantly rebellious consequence of writing my debut book and retraining as a holistic coach after my breast cancer treatment. That odyssey taught me healing isn’t just physical—it’s spiritual, emotional, and deeply creative. My deck is intentionally a coaching experience: a way to uncover our magic and discover action steps to walk our soul’s path with clarity, confidence, and joy—unapologetically.
But the publishing road wasn’t linear. In 2022, the artist I’d chosen lost their eyesight. I took it as a sign I wasn’t meant to develop my cards. I ignored my soul nudges. I doubted the timing, the message, the magic. It took me a while to realise my cards weren’t waiting for perfection—they were waiting for me to trust. I’d forgotten the words of my Soul Coaching® mentor Denise Linn: “It doesn’t need to be perfect; it just needs to be done.”
Once I let go of perfection and trusted my soul nudges, the process flowed. Random introductions. Rememberings from my corporate career. A mindset coach who kept me accountable. The path illuminated.
Historically, oracle cards have always been tools of trust. The word ‘oracle’ comes from the Latin orare, meaning ‘to speak’. In Ancient Greece, oracles were sacred intermediaries—like the famed Oracle of Delphi—who translated divine wisdom into human language. Today’s decks carry that same essence, but with a modern twist.
Oracle cards are a wee bit more freeform than Tarot. They meet you where you are. That’s why I call them a coach in your back pocket. Each card is a conversation, a nudge, a mirror.
In my Oracle Experience sessions, we laugh, cry, get clear—and then act. Soul-led decisions. Heart-centred actions. Truth, honoured.
If you’re ready to hear your soul’s voice, the cards are ready to reflect it back—with grace, sass, and soul.
