Reconnecting with Your Empress by Trish Rock

Today, Sarah King walks into a room with an inner light and passion that is hard to ignore.

There was a time, however, when Sarah believed something very different about herself.

A girl who didn’t finish high school.
A girl who quietly told herself she was “stupid” and would never amount to much.
A woman who believed the safest way to move through life was to stay small, agreeable, and silent.

The woman leading retreats, guiding breathwork journeys, and helping other women reclaim their voice was once the very woman who struggled to find her own.

And that is exactly why her work resonates so deeply today.

Sarah King is known as an energetic healer, breathwork facilitator, author and podcast host who works with women ready to reclaim their sense of self, in love and life. Through breathwork journeys, energy healing, and transformative retreats, she guides women in deep inner work, helping them reconnect with their worth, regulate their nervous systems, and rediscover their own power.

But Sarah’s story did not begin in empowerment.

It began in silence.

Sarah grew up believing she was somehow not enough. As she didn’t finish high school, the story she carried about herself for many years was painfully simple: “I’m just a stupid girl who can’t get anywhere in life.”

Those words sat loudly in the background of her mind, shaping how she moved through the world. They influenced her relationships, the work she chose, and the way she allowed others to treat her.

Small. Quiet. It felt safer to stay that way. She learned to accommodate, to people-please, to analyse everything she said or did. Leaving situations that weren’t healthy felt impossible. Even walking away from a job that didn’t align with her felt terrifying.

On the outside, she often appeared fine. But as Sarah reflects now, there was always a mask. She says, “My fake, genuine smile was always on show.”

Many women will recognise that smile.

A dark night of the soul cracked her open, and through heartbreak, burnout, motherhood, and the pressure of holding it all together, Sarah was brought to her knees. It was messy and raw. And it was also the beginning of everything.

Because it was in that unravelling that she would tell you, “I finally began to remember who I really was.”

For years, Sarah lived in what she now recognises as a dysregulated nervous system.

Her body was constantly wired, stuck in patterns of survival and stress. The idea of change can feel overwhelming, and for many years, it was inconceivable to her that she was even deserving of the life she knew she was here to live.

“When you’re so wired, nothing really gets through,” Sarah explains, “It’s something many people overlook in the healing journey. The body must feel safe before deeper emotional or energetic work can truly land.”

For Sarah, the turning point came unexpectedly.

She found herself at a retreat, unsure why she had been drawn there. Something within her had said, “Go”. That decision changed everything.

For the first time in a long time, her nervous system began to calm. She realised she had been living in a freeze response, stuck between wanting more and feeling unable to move forward. As her body softened out of that state, space opened for something new- the beginning of a new relationship with herself.

As she began exploring breathwork and expanding into greater self-love and awareness, Sarah started to reconnect with something she had long ignored: her intuition. The quiet inner voice that had been buried beneath years of self-doubt… slowly became stronger. And with that came trust.

Trust in herself. Trust in her feelings. Trust in the gifts she had always carried but never fully allowed herself to embody.

Each step forward created momentum. A snowball effect.

“I realised I was worthy of a restored nervous system and that I could say yes to more,” she says. And once that door opened, Sarah began making different choices.

She stopped tolerating relationships that demanded she shrink or remain silent. She no longer accepted behaviour that didn’t honour her.

As she often says now, with clarity and conviction: “I am allowed to take this space for myself.”

For many women, that single sentence can feel revolutionary.

One of the most powerful shifts in Sarah’s journey has been her willingness to question the expectations she once lived by. Society often hands women a script of who they should be, what relationships should look like, and what success should mean. Sarah eventually realised those scripts were never hers to begin with.

“How do you know who you are if you don’t play with life?” she asks. “Not what society wants. Not what others expect. But what feels true.”

Through this exploration, she began discovering parts of herself that had been waiting patiently beneath the surface, like creativity, strength, leadership, and a deep desire to help other women find their own voice.

Today Sarah channels everything she has learned into her work through Empress Nation, a community and movement devoted to helping women rebuild their relationship with self and others.

Her approach combines Breathwork, Energy Healing, Nervous System regulation and deep emotional work. She offers immersive Retreats, as well as 3, 6 and 9-month breathwork programs designed to support women through sustained transformation rather than quick fixes. Because Sarah knows firsthand that real change takes time.

Her work focuses on helping women:

• reconnect with their sense of self love
• regulate and restore the nervous system
• release patterns of people-pleasing and over-analysis
• trust their intuition
• step into relationships and lives that honour their worth

But perhaps the most important element she offers is something far simpler.

Proof that healing doesn’t belong only to the confident or the “already sorted.” It belongs to anyone willing to take the first step.

When Sarah speaks to women beginning their own journey, her message is gentle but clear: “I have been where you are. You are not broken. You are not behind. And you are certainly not too late.”

She knows exactly what it feels like to doubt yourself, to hide behind a smile, to question whether you deserve more. She has been there. That is why her work resonates so deeply.

At its heart, is not simply about healing. It is about reclamation. Reclaiming the parts of yourself you were taught to silence. Reclaiming the space you were told you didn’t deserve. Reclaiming the right to live in alignment with your truth.

For the woman reading this who feels that quiet whisper inside, the one asking for something more, Sarah’s story offers a powerful reminder.

“This is the beginning of your Empress Era. The part where you stop repeating the same cycles.”

Healing doesn’t begin with having everything figured out. It begins with a single moment of honesty. A moment where you say to yourself: I am allowed to take this space for myself.

And from there, everything can begin to change.
