The Party Goers card 26 – Control by Sharne Young

An incident happened for me (not to me) recently. It was something out of my control, however, I could not control my emotions for several hours afterwards no matter how hard I tried.  Those few hours I indulged in all sorts of negative feelings and thoughts. Gosh I was grumpy! I unleashed my grumpiness out into the open, I am not a pleasant person when grumpy, people duck for cover..   

Of course I calmed down eventually, really tired myself out from all the cranky feelings. I realised the incident that occurred, was probably a good thing. The incident nudged me along, got me moving and gave me back some control over other situations in my life that I had been worrying over. This may all sound very cryptic I realise, but I pulled card 26 from The Channelled Galaxy Oracle deck and hopefully it helps clarify things for anyone else feeling a bit out of ‘control’.

‘There is to be an extravaganza! However, whenever there are royal events, the travelling minstrels must attend. They will be arriving soon to prepare for the entertainment. One needs to be careful with travelling minstrels. If things are not to their liking or they feel discord in any way, their bad vibrations will make the Rim unstable. The Rim is a huge structure, rising out of the Red Plain. It is so high it can be seen from space.

The event has been organised to celebrate the building of a new glass dome for the Rim. The previous one collapsed because of very bad vibrations. At least the travelling minstrels this time seem to like the look and feel of things. They begin their music, and all are careful to applaud and dance in all the correct ways and places. Cautiously and harmoniously, so far so good.’

It is pointless trying to please everyone all the time. You cannot control how others think, feel or behave. You can only control yourself. This is your life, your party and you can do or be whatever you choose. Don’t be afraid to stomp and shout. It doesn’t matter if others around you don’t like it. The sky won’t fall down if they don’t.
