Transmutation with Pale Violet by Mike Booth

Colour is a universal language which can help us in the process of individuation and self-realisation. Aura-Soma® works with the spectrum of visible colour as well as the information encoded in the sequence of colour combinations.

The rainbow of colours can be represented as saturated versions or paler versions. From an Aura-Soma perspective, the intensity of a colour’s meaning intensifies when light enters the colour, turning it into a pale version.

Whilst the inherent meaning of that pale colour remains the same as the saturated version, the subtle difference with this intensification is interpreted as an increase of consciousness.

Pale Violet

The colour violet, from an Aura-Soma perspective, signifies service, transformation and healing. In relation to service, this includes the attitude of caring and kindness along with our intention we bring, as we do what we are meant to do, fulfilling our purpose and destiny in the world. Violet also represents grief, whether that be a loss of what was, for what might have been, or for the loss of a past identity. Within violet we can also see the tendency to hide our light, not wanting to be seen, and the desire to be invisible.

When light enters violet, this pale violet offers a lilac flame of transmutation, helping us transform ourself into a catalyst and transformer, able to be a healing force in any situation. Pale violet has a calming effect, bringing forward all the actors (qualities of ourself) on to the stage of our life. This may help us to detach and dis-identify so that we may step outside ourself and allow energies to come through us so we may respond rather than react.

The Aura-Soma St. Germain Quintessence relates to this pale violet colour being a catalyst for positive change in each situation we find ourselves. It may help us to emanate this energy by letting go at a very deep level so that transmutation of our deepest conditioning may become possible. A complete change of being which we may experience as having been born anew.

How to Benefit from Colour

Aura-Soma engages us at our sense doors. Whilst it is intriguing to look at the colours and colour combinations to see which ones call to us, it is far more effective to actually use the various Equilibrium bottles, Pomanders. Quintessences, ArchAngeloi and Colour Essences. In doing so, experiencing the liquids and aromas can bring rapid personal growth, balance and support in our journey toward ourselves.

Aura-Soma Quintessences work specifically with the astral fields beyond the physical and etheric body. When working with the Quintessences we have the possibility to invoke the most positive energies of the colour ray to which they are connected, from deep within us. As a result we may more easily recognise and accept our own inner beauty.

Rudolph Steiner explains this living experience as such:

‘We must bring to life what is in the colour, not by practicing colour symbolism, which is the worst possible thing, but by actually discovering what is in colour, in the same way as the power of laughter is in someone who laughs. … The essential thing is to know how to open our souls to what speaks to us out of colour.’
