What about pale colours? By Mike Booth

As Rudolph Steiner said:

‘Colour is the soul element of nature and of the whole cosmos, and we have a share in this soul element when we experience colour.’

Aura-Soma appeals to many people throughout the world, regardless of race or religion, because of the inherent simplicity of colour. Yet as we begin to understand the complexity of colour, those of us who are compelled to look deeper can find the exploration extremely satisfying.

Pale Colours

The rainbow of colours can be represented as saturated versions or paler versions. From an Aura-Soma perspective, the intensity of a colour’s meaning intensifies when light enters the colour, turning it in to a pale / pastel version.

Whilst the inherent meaning of that pale colour remains the same, the subtle difference with this intensification is interpreted as an increase of consciousness.

This increase in light / consciousness has two possible causes:

1: Consciousness may grow along with the experience of suffering and the understanding of suffering.

We suffer when get what we don’t want.

We suffer when we want what we can not have.

We suffer when we can not distinguish between these two.

2: Consciousness may grow as our awareness, mindfulness and presence increases.

How to Benefit from Colour

Aura-Soma engages us at our sense doors.
