Healing the Root Cause By Trish Rock

A quiet nudge from within said, “there must be more to life than this.”

Some stories aren’t loud. They don’t come crashing through your world demanding attention. Instead, they whisper, and for Rachael Greany, that whisper grew louder until she could no longer ignore it.

At the time, life on the surface looked typical for Rachael, a successful woman in her 30’s. Working hard in a satisfying and high-level career, lots of nights out, weekends blurred by drinking, and friendships that revolved around temporary escapes rather than deep connection. But inside, a different story was taking shape. There was a yearning that was starting to be questioned and a sense that she was playing a role she no longer wanted to be cast in.

“I just couldn’t keep going like that,” Rachael said, reflecting on the pivotal season that changed everything. “I knew I wanted something deeper. Something more meaningful.”

It wasn’t a rock-bottom moment. It wasn’t chaos that cracked her open but clarity. Rachael began her healing journey from an authentic desire to understand herself and to stop repeating the patterns that kept her stuck in a life that now felt misaligned.

What followed was a brave and quiet decision: to step away from the crowd. To lovingly let go of the social scene and friendships that no longer resonated and begin turning inward, asking the kind of questions most people spend their lives avoiding.

Who am I beneath the noise?
Why do I keep falling into the same emotional traps?
What really matters to me?

As she peeled back the layers, Rachael began tracing the thread of her patterns back to childhood. With deep courage and self-honesty, she explored how her early experiences led to the adult she had become, the way she was seen and supported, or wasn’t seen at all. There was no blame in her approach, just a heartfelt desire to understand and evolve.

Through this process, Rachael discovered Root Cause Therapy (RCT)- a healing modality that would change not only her inner world but eventually become the foundation of the work she offers others today.

Root Cause Therapy isn’t about surface-level fixes or feel-good affirmations. It’s deep, powerful work that addresses emotional wounds at their origin. By identifying the root cause of recurring emotional patterns and limiting beliefs, RCT allows individuals to process, heal, and release what’s been unconsciously running their lives.

For Rachael, it felt like home.

“This is what I had been looking for,” she said, with a sense of calm certainty. “A way to make sense of my emotional world and not just intellectually, but in a way that allowed me to truly shift.”

As she trained in the modality and began using it personally, she noticed profound changes: less emotional reactivity, more presence and a growing sense of trust in herself. She was no longer controlled by the shadows of her past. Instead, she was writing a new story, one rooted in authenticity, alignment, and peace.

And then, quite naturally, came the next phase of her evolution: sharing this work with others.

Today, Rachael is a certified Root Cause Therapy coach and the heart and soul behind Dragonfly Blue – her sacred space for transformation, healing, and self-discovery. The name holds deep personal meaning for Rachael as she has always felt a strong affinity with dragonflies, and her favourite colour has long been blue. Spiritually, the dragonfly is a powerful symbol of change, adaptability, and self-realisation. It reflects Rachael’s own journey and the work she now offers others – guiding her clients to embrace new beginnings, move through transformation, and uncover the truth of who they really are.

She works with clients who, like her, have reached that moment where the old ways no longer make sense. People who may not be falling apart on the outside but are quietly unravelling inside. Women (and men) who are ready to break cycles of emotional pain, anxiety, and unworthiness, and instead embrace who they truly are.

Her sessions are gentle but powerful. She creates a container where people feel seen, heard, and held as they explore the roots of their emotional patterns. With each session, the weight gets lighter. Clients find themselves responding to life differently, making clearer choices, and reconnecting with parts of themselves they thought were lost.

But perhaps the most inspiring part of Racheal’s story isn’t the modality itself, it’s the way she embodies the journey. There’s an integrity to her presence, a calm that comes from doing the work she now guides others through. She hasn’t just studied healing; she’s lived it.

What makes RCT such a transformative experience is that it doesn’t offer a one-size-fits-all solution. Each person’s emotional blueprint is unique. Rachael meets her clients exactly where they are, helping them uncover the origin of their pain, whether it’s a forgotten childhood moment, a belief they unknowingly inherited before, during or after birth, or an emotional imprint buried so deep they never even knew it was there.

In doing so, she offers more than a breakthrough. She offers liberation.

“I don’t believe we’re broken,” she said. “We just carry stories that aren’t ours. Once we can see them clearly, we get to choose again.”

When working with Rachael at Dragonfly Blue, that choice becomes real.

Through one-on-one sessions and online offerings, Rachael helps people reconnect with their truth and begin living in alignment with it. Her clients report deep emotional shifts, greater clarity, and the ability to move forward without the heaviness of the past.

For many, it feels like coming home.

And perhaps that’s the magic of Rachael’s journey, she reminds us that “healing isn’t about fixing ourselves, it’s about remembering who we were before the world told us who to be. It’s about choosing meaning over distraction, depth over disconnection, truth over coping.”

From party nights to purpose-filled days, Rachael Greany’s story is a quiet revolution. A testament to the power of self-awareness. A reminder that it’s never too late to turn inward, ask the real questions, and live a life that feels like yours.

Because the truth is: healing isn’t the end of the story.

It’s where the real one finally begins.

“Your dreams are precious, and I’m here to walk alongside you, guiding you towards the beautiful life that awaits you, in self-love, self-acceptance and relationships. Your beautiful life starts today uncovering the Root-Cause of what no longer serves you.”
