My name is Abbey Rose and if you’ve been following me for a while, it’s so good to see you again! But if you’re new, then hi! I am a Spiritual Accountant who specialises in Holistic Money Management.
Holistic Money Management, for those of you who don’t know, is all about your relationship with money, how you treat your money and how money makes you feel in your core.
Tax is often misinterpreted as a robotic practice, something that is the same for everyone. But the truth is, it’s as personal as each business or career that you, as an individual, undertake in.
Here is my awesome hack that you can follow to make your tax journey easier this year.

- Download Your Bank Transactions
Make sure you download your business and personal bank transactions and go through them, making sure that any business transactions that may have come out of your personal account are accounted for.
- Open Your Transactions in Excel and Data Sort Your Content
What this means is that, like I mentioned above, you’re going to sort your transactions into business, personal and misc categories so you will be able to filter them easily. - Prepare Your Income and Expense Summary
Go through your transactions and tally up the total of your income and the total of your expenses - Give this Summary Plus Any Extra Data to Your Accountant for a More Accurate Return
Make sure that you have any donation receipts and any other forms of income you may have received throughout the duration of the tax year. - Or, Log Into MyGov And Do The Return Yourself!
If you’ve followed these steps accurately, you’ll be able to follow the prompts in MyGov and complete your own tax return relatively easily.
