Recipe for Happiness by Skye Craig

I think people are often time poor and concerned about the cost of food. We’re very fortunate on the Gold Coast as our local farmers markets are excellent and allow everyone access to good, clean and fair food. People can learn to make simple delicious cleansing meals from beautiful fresh produce from local markets.

Considering I’m a confirmed chocaholic and dessert addict, we  also keep things balanced by including some healthier sweet treats. You really can take care of your body while taking care of your taste buds too. I believe in the 80/20 principal… eat really well 80% of the time and allow yourself to enjoy treats 20% of the time.

For me the combination of yoga practice and eating well is a great recipe for much joy and happiness. Then we’re able to live well and help others to do so too.

I’ve been practicing yoga with the Gold Coast Yoga Centre for eight years and I can’t tell you how much joy it’s brought me. Life is stressful at times and with the help and support of the teachers there, I’ve found my true passion for whole food cooking and it’s hard to wipe the smile off my face these days. I feel very fortunate to have the opportunity to help others with this incredibly simple recipe for more happiness.
