The Nights Nobody Wanted to End: Inside Pranafest 2026

As the last notes drifted through the trees at Woodfordia and the final embraces were shared under a wide Queensland sky, one feeling sat above everything else for our team: GRATITUDE. Pranafest 2026 was our biggest gathering yet. If you weren’t there, here’s why the people who were, haven’t stopped talking about it.

Pranafest is Australia’s wellness and conscious culture festival, held every June long weekend in Queensland. It started in 2021 at Borumba Deer Park with around 300 people and has grown into a gathering of thousands. In 2025 we formed an alliance with Woodford Folk Festival and moved to Woodfordia. This year, that partnership found its rhythm.

Some of what happened can’t be programmed. At the elders tent, strangers sat for hours sharing yarns, some staying long after the music elsewhere had wound down. Others found their way to a fire later on, to sit quietly and let the days’ unfolding settle. Ask anyone who spent that time there and they’ll tell you those are the moments that stay longest.

Our live-streamed conversations with Dr Zach Bush and Bruce Lipton, a Queensland first, ran slightly long because the audience wouldn’t let it end. People were super keen to grab the mic with questions that came from authentic inquisition, not passing curiosity.

Some of the best music happened spontaneously. Artists who’d met that weekend ended up sharing a stage, trading beats and verses in collaborations discussed backstage or by the fire. That only happens when a lineup is built on real connection between the people performing.

Wildly, a small fire broke out on main stage during Raw Ordio’s Saturday night performance. Our production crew had it handled within moments, and the artists didn’t miss a single beat. It was honestly taken care of so fast and fabulous not many even noticed!

And if you ask almost anyone at Woodfordia this year what they’ll remember most, they’ll say the Haka. A connected, emotional yet thunderous wave through the festival that had people in tears before they understood why. It’s the story already being retold at dinner tables, we’re sure.

This kind of festival takes a program built with real intention and a community that shows up ready to be part of it, not just watch it. We’re seeing the same themes across current national wellness events: people want to put the phone down and stand shoulder to shoulder with strangers who feel like old friends by the end of a weekend.

To everyone who trusted us with their weekend, our presenters and performers, our volunteers, and the team at Woodfordia who opened their home to us again: thank you. You’re the reason this festival has grown into something bigger than any of us had pictured back at Borumba in 2021.

Pranafest returns to Woodfordia on 4–6 June 2027. Consider this your invitation.
