How Can You Flourish a Little More? By Linda Simpson

Offering you my slant on ‘flourish’, with a few ideas to get your heart thinking about more of what you want and where you wish to travel. How can you aim to flourish? And what makes it easy to flourish?

F – Finding Space for You

L – Loving More of what you do

O – Owning up to who you are

U – Understanding more about who you are

R – Response – checking in on how you respond

I – I Am – this You who is the I AM

S – Shine Your Light

H – Heart for what you do in this life

It should be easy to flourish but we often make it hard, through obligation and a pleaser attitude which sneaks in every now and then.

Let’s have a look at what flourish can mean:

F is for finding space for yourself.

This doesn’t have to be hard. Can you find 5 minutes? You don’t have to find a whole day, of course finding a whole day is awesome but some part of us could find that impactful and not restful or exhilarating.

Gift yourself with space and do what you want with that space.

That’s the magic; your magic.

L means loving something that you do every day.

Of course, we’re not going to do things that we love all day, but we can choose to love what we do in our day. If you insert something into your day that you love doing, and you choose to do that as often as possible, that love expands, it overlaps into things that you don’t want to do. Kind of infecting them with love (smile).

Create a happy list of things that you LOVE to do and on a really bad day drag yourself out of the gloomy thoughts by choosing one that fits the moment. It’ll make you smile and the rest will get easier.

O is owning up to who you are NOW. You will live your life so much better when you own up to who you are.

It doesn’t mean thinking you should be different it means loving some part, or all of you, in this very moment. If you don’t love who you are now, how can you love the person that you are in the future? That’s the key to this.

U is for understanding more about who you are.

  • understanding how you respond to things in life
  • understanding how you could alter your response so that life changes just a little bit around you.
  • The ripple effect in action.

R is for Response. Changing your response to something or someone has an immediate effect. Try it out.

I is for your I am.

Spend quality time really getting to know who you are. Understand how you respond to things and understand who you are when you truly shine.

S is to Shine Your Light.

Shining our light is what we’re here for. All the other stuff is peripheral.

The learning is about HOW you shine your light, HOW you share your joy. Being who you are as your human, here on Earth, shining your light.

And H of course is for Heart.

The more you understand your heart, the more you’ll be able to utilise universal love

  • To love more
    • To be more
    • To see what you want to do
    • To see what your heart wants to do

So there you have it, my fun slant on flourish and remember:

You are enough

You are wonderful and unique and

You are loved.

Sending you love bubbles and hugs over the airways. Linda.
